Job summary

Swedium Global Services is seeking a Senior Embedded Android Audio Engineer to join a remote international team. You will develop and debug Android-based embedded audio software, focusing on Audio HAL, AudioFlinger, ALSA, and DSP integration.

You will collaborate with hardware teams across time zones to ensure robust audio performance on multiple product variants. The role requires strong C/C++ skills in embedded systems, hands-on Android platform experience, and excellent debugging abilities.

Qualifications

• Strong C/C++ in embedded or platform-level software development.
• Hands-on Android/AOSP platform development in the audio domain.
• Experience with Audio Framework components, including AudioFlinger and ALSA.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis using logs and traces.
• Experience with Git and modern software-development practices.
• Ability to work independently in a complex integration environment.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and debug Android-based embedded audio software in C/C++.
• Work on Android Audio HAL/framework and device/mixer configurations.
• Troubleshoot audio routing, policies, and IPC with DSP and hardware.
• Collaborate with audio developers, hardware teams, and customers.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Provide clear technical updates on progress and blockers.
