Optiveum is seeking an experienced Network Engineer focused on Load Balancing with F5 BIG-IP to join a large financial services client in a remote Polish-based role. The position is B2B with Optiveum, full-time, and includes a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule during maintenance windows.

You will manage F5 BIG-IP LTM/DNS/AFM, handle upgrades, incidents, audits and continuous service improvement in a regulated banking environment. Fluent English is required; German is a plus.

• Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM, DNS, iRules, TMOS) in high-availability data centers.

Mansioni

• Run and operate the Load Balancing product end to end on F5 BIG-IP (LTM, DNS, AFM) from transitioning new infrastructure into operations, through changes and releases, to decommissioning.
• Configure, administer and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP LTM, DNS and AFM.
• Manage virtual servers, pools, iRules and SSL offloading, and monitor certificate lifecycle.
• Manage the firmware lifecycle, including TMOS upgrades, and F5 BIG-IP licensing.
• Analyze and resolve application delivery issues, persistence, health monitors and HA-pair failover.
• Carry out planned maintenance and changes in maintenance windows and participate in CAB.
• Handle 2nd and 3rd-level incidents and support root cause analysis.
• Support the Lead Network Engineer during major incidents.
• Tune event monitoring in CheckMK and report on service availability (uptime, MTBF, MTTR) and capacity.
• Investigate log anomalies flagged in Splunk and maintain standard syslog configurations.
• Run vulnerability management in line with ISMS requirements.
• Maintain the CMDB and track licences and asset lifecycle.
• Support audits and drive continual service improvement and automation.
• Share knowledge with stand-ins and contribute to runbooks and SOPs.
