Job summary

XTB online investing is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Core Data Platform team. You will design, build and scale data pipelines, ensure data quality, and drive integration across multiple source systems using Python, SQL and Spark.

You will contribute to architecture, standards, and IaC, collaborating across teams while enabling reliable, real-time data flows and analytics for the business.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related software engineering role.
• Proficiency in Python and the ability to write clean, testable production code.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark.
• Advanced SQL skills and data warehousing design principles.
• Practical knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.
• Familiarity with data quality, monitoring, and pipeline reliability.
• Experience with relational databases and data integration standards.
• Understanding of REST and gRPC for system integration.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, or similar).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline concepts and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Work with raw data and design methods for integration into the data platform.
• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Integrate the data platform with other systems and applications.
• Participate in architectural decisions and set engineering standards.
• Conduct code reviews, document solutions, and share knowledge with the team.
