Job summary

Algomine is seeking a data engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and APIs in a primarily cloud-based environment. The role emphasizes Azure technologies and scalable data storage solutions within a highly collaborative team.

The candidate should have hands-on programming experience in Python and JavaScript, familiarity with JSON and XML, and a proactive approach to learning new cloud patterns and tools. Flexible hours and remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience with Azure.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage (ADLS), Azure SQL, Azure Databricks and API Management.
• Hands-on programming with Python and JavaScript; experience with JSON/XML.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work with a high-performing team.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines, APIs and protocols as needed to implement and improve CS's strategy.
• Design, build and maintain best-in-class data storage solutions matching business requirements and data types.
• Stay up-to-date with latest trends in cloud-based data engineering and development.
