Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer, AI Data to join its remote team and help build data pipelines powering model training for AI products. The role focuses on ingesting audio data sources, ensuring data quality, and scaling data-processing systems.

You will collaborate with AI scientists to improve datasets and models, take ownership of projects from discovery to delivery, and thrive in a fast-paced, distributed environment with strong emphasis on autonomy and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production data pipelines.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build reliable pipelines to bring them into training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems, optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and support development of next-generation models.
• Take ownership of engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
