Job summary

RHONDOS Inc. is seeking an experienced ABAP software engineer for PowerConnect, driving ABAP development and feature delivery with a focus on secure, maintainable code.

You will own SDLC, contribute to testing, reviews, and production support, and stay current with ABAP practices while aligning with customer needs and product context. The role is open in Poland, with remote work within Poland and a strong emphasis on security, observability, and collaboration across the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bons conhecimentos de ABAP — linguagem clássica e moderna.
• Profunidade em ABAP Objects: interfaces, herança, classes, padrões de design.
• Conhecimentos de ABAP Dictionary, tabelas, domains, lock objects.
• Experiência com RFC e processamento paralelo, filas de tarefas e sincronização.
• Integração HTTP/REST de ABAP e manipulação de JSON/XML em alto volume.
• Desenvolvimento com Open SQL eficiente para volumes elevados.
• Princípios de engenharia de software: estruturas de dados, complexidade, modularidade.
• Experiência em SDLC completo: desenvolvimento, transporte e produção.
• Conceitos de segurança SAP em ABAP — objetos de autorização, validação de entrada.
• Código legível, comentado e auditável; curiosidade e disciplina para aplicar novas técnicas.

Responsibilities

• Delivering new ABAP features and enhancements with clean, secure code.
• Applying functional and object-oriented programming to the right problem.
• Writing readable code with meaningful names and in-line explanations where needed.
• Ensuring code is free from security vulnerabilities in a trusted SAP environment.
• Own SDLC from development through production, including tests and transports.
• Write unit tests and contribute to integration testing coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Support transport management and release packaging to ensure traceability.
• Assist root-cause analysis for production defects and drive improvements.
• Create documentation and tooling to reduce escalations over time.
• Stay current with ABAP best practices and share knowledge within the team.
• Engage with product context to inform engineering decisions.
