Talanto is seeking a QA Lead for the Hadar project to manage the QA team, translate the project QA strategy into actionable plans, priorities, and measurable outcomes.

You will build a high-performing QA team, ensure milestone verification, and maintain visibility on gameplay quality, risks, and testing practices across areas of ownership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading QA teams, preferably in AAA environments.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, bug workflows, defect management, test planning and quality reporting.
• Experience with game engines and editors, especially Unreal Engine.
• Deep understanding of game development lifecycles and QA strategies across integration, stress, performance, stability, tools and platform validation.
• Experience with performance analysis, profiling tools, crash analysis and memory investigations.

Job Description

•••••••••••••• is looking for QA Lead to join the Hadar project. In this role, you will manage the QA team within the project, adapting the project QA strategy into clear team plans, priorities and measurable outcomes.

You will be responsible for developing a high-performing QA team, ensuring reliable milestone verification, maintaining visibility on gameplay quality status and risks, and continuously improving QA workflows, tools, reporting, and gameplay testing practices within your area of ownership.

You will collaborate closely with Production, Development, Tech, Shared Development Services, QA Experts, other QA Leads, and cross-functional teams to support gameplay integrity, engine and tools quality, performance, stability, gameplay consistency, and development pipeline reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Building and shaping a high-performing QA team by supporting recruitment, onboarding, team structure, and the development of the right skills and capabilities to meet project needs.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing the QA team while fostering accountability, role clarity, and continuous skill growth.
• Adapting & Implementing the overarching QA strategy into practical testing approaches, measurable outcomes, and clear team priorities.
• Owning testing execution and milestone verification, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet gameplay quality standards.
• Monitoring quality metrics, and bug trends to identify risks early and build practical mitigation plans.
• Partnering with development, production, and external QA vendors to coordinate dependencies, gameplay requests, and alignment.
• Actively participating in hands-on testing, including exploratory, feature, and regression testing, to maintain direct product knowledge and support the team during critical development phases.
• Maintaining clear, data-informed reporting on quality status, blockers, and project readiness for all relevant stakeholders.
• Driving continuous improvements in QA workflows, tools, testing frameworks, technical documentation, and overall team effectiveness.
• Providing direct assistance with complex investigations, issue analysis, and debugging workflows when required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading and managing QA Teams preferably in AAA environments.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, bug workflows, defect management, test planning, test coverage, QA practices, and quality reporting.
• Experience with game engines and editors, especially in Unreal Engine.
• Strong understanding of game development lifecycles and the ability to develop and execute testing strategies covering integration, stress, performance, stability, tools, engine, platform, and technical feature validation.
• Experience with performance analysis, profiling tools, crash analysis, memory investigations, platform-specific testing, or console development environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly present quality status, risks, blockers, priorities, and recommendations.
• Experience working with external QA vendors, distributed QA teams, or cross-location development teams.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to work effectively under pressure, ambiguity, and changing priorities.

Nice to have:

• Experience with User Experience Research (UXR), focus groups, usability testing, and gathering player feedback to inform product and design decisions
• Experience with automation frameworks, automated test authorship, build verification, CI/CD pipelines, or technical validation workflows.
