Job summary

HSBC Krakow is seeking a QA Tester to deliver manual and automated testing, write and run automation scripts, and document results. You will collaborate with Production Support, Test Management, Solution Delivery and Business Analysts to confirm requirements and testing approaches.

Ideal candidates have at least three years in international IT testing, English fluency, and hands-on experience with SQL, SoapUI, Jira and Confluence. ISTQB is a plus, with a strong eye for detail and risk awareness.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent higher education.
• At least three years of professional IT testing experience in an international environment.
• Experience with test management tools and collaboration platforms (Jira/Confluence).
• Fluency in English and strong analytical skills.
• Experience in banking or payments systems is a plus.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.

The Opportunity

The role involves the comprehensive delivery of manual and automated testing activities, including the creation, execution and analysis of automation scripts. You will document and monitor test results, log defects, and participate in the review and analysis of project documentation. You will work closely with the Production Support, Test Management, Solution Delivery and Business Analyst teams to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and agree on the approach to test execution. You will also be responsible for identifying issues and risks, addressing them appropriately and escalating them when required.

What You'll Do

• Perform testing activities (manually and automatically).
• Ensure test status results are properly documented and tracked and defects are logged.
• Participate in the review and analysis of appropriate documentation.
• Closely cooperate with Production Support, Test Management, Solution Delivery, Business Analyst in order to understand requirements and discuss execution.
• Ensure that any issues or risks are addressed in an appropriate manner, escalating them as required.
• Create, run and analyse of automated scripts.

What you'll need to succed in the role:

• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• A university degree or equivalent higher education.
• At least three years of professional experience working in an international environment, including experience in IT systems testing (ISTQB certification as a plus).
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working in a bank or other financial institution, ideally with payments systems.
• Practical knowledge of SQL and SoapUI.
• Experience using test management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with test automation tools and creating automation scripts.
• A strong interest in developing your career in an IT environment.

The pay range for this role is 17 484 PLN - 19000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
