  • Execute manual testing of gameplay systems, mechanics, features and content while identifying, reproducing and documenting defects.
  • Develop and maintain gameplay-focused test cases, checklists and test documentation using risk-based testing methodologies.
  • Participate in feature reviews and planning sessions, identifying potential quality risks and proposing mitigation strategies before implementation.
  • Verify fixes, perform regression testing and evaluate the impact of gameplay changes across interconnected systems.
  • Analyze gameplay quality trends using defect data and test coverage metrics, helping improve overall testing effectiveness.
  • Support milestone verification by ensuring gameplay features meet quality expectations before release.
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation of testing activities, known issues and gameplay quality standards.
  • Work with developers to investigate complex gameplay issues, helping isolate root causes and communicate actionable feedback.
  • Continuously suggest improvements to QA workflows, documentation, testing practices and collaboration between QA and development teams.
  • Share gameplay knowledge with other QA team members and contribute to establishing consistent testing standards across the project.
Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience using Unreal Engine editor for gameplay testing and debugging.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate, isolate and clearly communicate complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • High attention to detail with a structured, risk-based approach to testing.
Nice to haves
  • Experience testing open-world or systemic gameplay.
  • Understanding mechanics of character progression, itemization, crafting, economy & resources, and statuses & resistances.
  • Basic knowledge of QA automation or scripting.
  • Experience testing on multiple platforms (PC and consoles).
  • Passion for story-driven RPGs and an understanding of what makes gameplay satisfying, responsive and immersive.
