EY GDS Poland in Katowice is seeking a Python developer to help build fast and reliable software for internal and external clients, with a focus on modern stacks and high-quality products.

You will work on international projects, using cutting-edge technologies, participate in tests, write scalable code, and collaborate with leaders across EY's global network. 2-3 years of Python experience and English proficiency are required, with a mix of in-office and remote work.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional experience with web based Python application development.
• Write clear structured, maintainable, well documented and tested code.
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD; knowledge about Clean Code.
• REST API knowledge.
• Experience working in agile methodologies.
• Very good English (min. B2).
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mainly developing new applications for internal and external clients together with adding new functionalities and features into existing projects.

Location: Katowice - 2 days in office / 3 days remote

As a Python developer in our team, you will help our clients to invent the future by building fast and reliable software that improve customer’s everyday lives. As a part of our global team you will participate in international projects designing modern, high quality, responsive products that match or exceed expectations. You will use the most advanced technology stack and have an opportunity to develop and implement new solutions while working with top leaders in their industries.

Your Key Responsibilities

Mainly developing new applications for internal and external clients together with adding new functionalities and features into existing projects – barely non maintenance. In our projects we are using only cutting edge technologies, we do care about tests, so be prepared for writing unit tests.

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Very Good Python3 knowledge
• Hands on experience with one of web framework (Django, Flask, FastAPI)
• Participate in building complete solutions, from top to bottom
• Ability to write and maintain scalable and performant code
• Experience working in international projects with multicultural environment
• Knowledge of engineering standards and tooling
• Practical knowledge of testing libraries (Pytest, Unittest)
• Demonstrated logical thinking, able to convert complex requirements into actionable code
