Job summary

American School of Warsaw seeks an ES PYP Art Teacher for the Elementary School. The role reports to the ES Principal and is a full-time position.

The candidate should hold a teaching certification with at least two years of experience teaching art to children ages 3–11, and have familiarity with PYP frameworks, TAB or CBC approaches encouraged. Collaboration with grade-level teams and active participation in curriculum design are expected.

Qualifications

• Teaching certification from an accredited institution.
• Minimum two years of experience in teaching this subject area.
• Experience with PK3-Grade 5 is preferred.
• PYP Category 1 training and PYP experience preferred.
• TAB (Teaching for Artistic Behaviors) and Choice-Based Art encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach classes following the PYP framework.
• Contribute to curriculum review and design with / for transdisciplinary PYP Program of Inquiry.
• Attend curriculum planning, faculty and team meetings; participate in school committees as needed.
• Provide timely feedback to students and use data-driven approaches to inform instruction.
• Create a student-centered, studio-based classroom environment and utilize diverse technologies.
