Job description

To further strengthen our team, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Customer Support department here at Kongsberg Maritime in Trondheim. As a Project Engineer, you will have the responsibility to set up and deliver Kongsberg’s K-Load loading instrument to our customers, in addition to actively providing support to customers and colleagues around the world.

You will join a committed, knowledgeable and positive team that supports each other extensively. We’re having fun at work, while providing world‑class support. From time to time, you will also attend vessels globally to build and maintain technical know-how. Key accountabilities
  • Provide technical support to customers and KM employees in the global organization
  • Support Project Department with their deliveries to new builds and sailing vessels
  • Proactively work with improvement of our products and services
  • Collaborate closely with Field Service, Warranty Team and other departments (R&D, Product and Project) to improve processes and quality
  • Attend applicable vessels for service, installation, commissioning and training
  • Offer technical support to Aftermarket Sales in their offerings
Qualifications and experience
  • Relevant technical education & background, typically bachelor’s degree within Nautical/Maritime discipline. Relevant experience will be preferred and can also compensate for lack in education
  • Good knowledge of stability & strength of a vessel
  • Good skills in use of digital applications and systems
  • Experience from maritime, shipping and/or offshore oil & gas installations is an advantage
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.

Work location
