Job summary

Çalık Enerji seeks a Project Contracts and Claim Chief for the Kozienice 1300 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project, based in Warsaw. The role focuses on supervising contract administration, managing notices, claims, and variations, and coordinating with planning, procurement, and construction teams to ensure contractual compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a university degree in a relevant field, 4+ years of EPC/energy project contract experience, and strong English proficiency.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in contract administration, contract management, claims management, or commercial management, preferably on large-scale EPC, infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.
  • Strong practical knowledge of EPC contracting models.
  • Proven experience in managing variations, claims, extensions of time, payment mechanisms, and dispute avoidance processes.
  • Ability to interpret complex contractual provisions and assess contractual entitlements and risks.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Previous experience in power, energy, infrastructure, oil & gas, marine, or industrial projects will be considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, procedures, and project requirements.
  • Manage the preparation, issuance, registration, and monitoring of contractual correspondence, notices, claims, and formal submissions.
  • Manage and maintain contract administration systems, including correspondence registers, change logs, claims registers, and contractual records.
  • Oversee the preparation and substantiation of extension of time (EOT) claims, disruption claims, variation claims, and other contractual entitlements in cooperation with planning, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Monitor critical contractual deadlines and ensure timely submission of notices, claims, payment applications, and supporting documentation.
  • Review and assess variations, change orders, claims, payment applications, and contractual implications of project events.
  • Identify, evaluate, and proactively manage contractual and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support contract negotiations, claim resolution processes, and dispute avoidance strategies with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to contract administration personnel and coordinate contract-related activities across project teams.
  • Prepare contractual reports and presentations for project management.
  • Support audits, management reviews, project meetings, and contractual compliance assessments.

We are looking for a “Project Contracts and Claim Chief” for our Kozienice 1300 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project, office islocated in Warsaw;


QUALIFICATIONS
