Job summary

Lyten Poland Sp. z o. o is seeking a Process Engineer to join the core team launching a new production line and to support industrialization.

You will plan, organize and execute manufacturing processes, develop specs, and deploy new technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability. Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering with 3+ years in new process development.
• Experience in automated manufacturing environments (automotive, semiconductors, pharma, medical devices).
• Experience with tightening, adhesives, pressing, leakage testing, laser welding.
• Able to read technical docs, drawings, and electrical diagrams; good English.

Responsibilities

• Launch production line and lead ramp-up by achieving process capabilities.
• Lead equipment and process fine-tuning during commissioning and ramp-up.
• Define and develop process requirements specifications.
• Design and implement new technologies to reduce consumable usage.
• Translate product requirements into manufacturing processes.

Process Engineer

The position will initially join the core team responsible for launching the production line. Responsible for planning, organize and execute duties within a process area that includes, but are not limited to, the development of new or improved manufacturing processes, generating process specifications and production sustainability. Following the launch, the role will join industrialization team to develop and deploy new processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Key player in production line launch and ramp-up by achieving targeted Machine and Process Capabilities
• Lead equipment and process fine-tuning, debugging and process adjustment during commissioning and ramp-up phases.
• Defining and developing the process requirements specification
• Design and implement new technologies for specialized equipment and reduction of equipment consumable material usage
• Define process development by translating product requirement elements to manufacturing
• Define process guidelines to improve technical cleanliness in production
• Define process validation guidelines and drive process commissioning during Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) by achieving targeted Machine and Process Capabilities (cm, cmk, cp, cpk, pp, ppk)
• Ownership and drive development of the Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA)
• Build Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), Work Instruction (WI) and Process Defect Description and Reaction Matrix
• Ensure and apply 5S principles
• Characterize existing processes, define critical parameters and establish controls that allow successful measurement of process capability and monitoring using SPC
• Execute Design of Experiments (DOE’s) to optimize process conditions and improve production Key Process Indicators (KPI’s)
• Provide production technical support by constant improvements, by using the S.M.A.R.T (Specific Measurable Achievable, Relevant and Time-bounded) goals approach

Accountability/Authorization Budget responsibility: Yes (for capital projects) Direct reports: No Authorized to decide on investments according to role and policy Authorized to report any quality, environment or health and safety nonconformities, ideas, risks, and opportunities Authorized to stop the production process if the performance abnormalities or non-conformance will be detected that will impend equipment and/or product integrity.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar 3+ years of experience within new process development in automated manufacturing environments such as: automotive, semiconductors, pharmaceutical, medical devices etc.
• 3+ years of work experience within one of the following technologies, tightening, adhesives, pressing, leakage testing, laser welding
• Experience in writing technical documentation (Requirement specifications, Functional design, UML, Test Cases, Test Records)
• Passionate by solving complex problems with technology in a simple yet innovative way
• Track-record of leading successful process development, implementation and sustainability in production environment
• Must have worked in multi-cultural environment
• Experience in reading technical documentation, mechanical drawings & electrical diagrams
• Ability to work in a team and to cooperate actively with quality, engineering, design, maintenance and production
• A role model in safety, quality, team work and attitude
• Improvement oriented with positive attitude enabling positive and constructive feedback
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills & working knowledge of statistical data analysis
• Strong verbal, written communication skills
