Job summary

EY GDS Poland in Katowice is seeking a Principal Software Engineer with .NET, cloud experience and team leadership to strengthen our cloud competency.

You will lead development teams, apply OO and functional programming, work with Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD within agile practices. The role offers hybrid work and collaboration with global clients.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience with .Net technologies (C#, .Net Core, EF or NHibernate).
• Strong knowledge of architectural and design patterns, Clean Code and Testing best practices.
• Experience in Azure or other public cloud.
• Knowledge of MS SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and automated deployments.
• Master’s in Computer Applications or equivalent.

We are looking for aPrincipal Software Engineerwith expertise in .Net technology, Cloud and experience in leading development teams who will join EY Digital team and strength our cloud competency in providing modern solutions.

Your key responsibilities

• Technical leadership of development teams and solutions to deliver high quality software for our clients
• Applying object-oriented and functional programming styles to real-world software engineering problems.
• Work with Cloud Architecture, Microservices Architecture and Container Technologies (AKS/Kubernetes, Docker etc.)
• Demonstrate understanding of high-quality coding and testing practices.
• Adopt Agile software delivery techniques and technologies including Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
• Developing solutions using a variety of technologies and tools to marry on-premise and cloud-based systems together.
• Helping in solutioning and offering to our Clients

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 7 years of experience working with .Net technologies (C#, .Net Core, ORM ie. EF or nHibernate, .Net Framework etc.)
• Strong knowledge of architectural and design patterns, Clean Code and Testing best practices
• Experience in Azure or other public cloud
• Knowledge of database technologies like MS SQL or NoSQL DB
• Experience with source code management (GIT), Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and automated deployments
• BTech/MTech OR Master’s in Computer Applications

Ideally, you'll also have

• Familiarity with concepts around Web Frameworks (like React or Angular)
• Familiarity of Reactive Architecture
• Experience in leading project team(s) for external Clients
