Job summary

Sabre is seeking a Principal Application Security Software Engineer in Kraków to bridge software engineering and cybersecurity. You will shape secure architectures, build and enhance security tooling with Java, and drive AI-driven vulnerability triage and automated fixes.

You will influence Sabre's AppSec strategy, integrate tools into CI/CD pipelines, and mentor teams to improve secure coding practices and incident response across distributed systems.

Qualifications

You will drive the evolution of our Application Security (AppSec) paradigm—not only by introducing next-generation security scanners and safeguarding our systems against emerging AI-driven threats but also by pioneering the internal use of AI LLM models and autonomous AI agents to transform how we triage vulnerabilities and automate code fixes.**Role and Responsibilities*** **Secure Software & Tooling Development:** Assist the development teams in planning, designing, and developing secure software solutions, frameworks, and automations, focusing heavily on hands-on **Java development** to build or enhance application security tools and platforms.* **AI Technology Innovation:** Introduce and implement new application security tools leveraging AI LLM technologies to streamline vulnerability triage, automate discovery, and generate autonomous code fixes.* **Threat Adaptation:** Evaluate and adapt Sabre’s AppSec strategy to mitigate new vectors and threats stemming from the deployment and utilization of AI LLM models in cybersecurity.* **SDLC Integration & Optimization:** Collaborate with development and platform teams to embed advanced security tools, scanners (SAST, DAST, SCA), and compliance checks directly into cloud-based, high-velocity **CI/CD pipelines**.* **Process Streamlining & Reporting:** Define, track, and optimize application security metrics.
