Payroll Specialist (Hungary)
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure payroll accuracy by effective administration of the payroll process and relationship with the payroll suppliers;
- Experience in execution of the end-to-end payroll processing (including calculations, deductions, bonuses, leave, terminations, and all lifecycle changes);
- Experience in collaborating with external payroll providers is considered as an advantage;
- Manage payroll month‑end close process, prepare payroll reports and ensure smooth payroll authorization;
- Maintain close contact with internal and external auditors to ensure the payroll calculations;
- Ensure accuracy of data and salary calculations through effective payroll controls and validations;
- Address and resolve payroll‑related questions from employees, managers, and other departments;
- Stay up to date on changes in Hungarian labour law, tax regulation, social insurance policies; implement necessary changes in payroll process;
- Share feedback with HR lead, and regional/global contacts to continuously improve processes linked to payroll.
Why you?
Necessary Qualifications & Skills
- MUST HAVE - Min. 2/3 years of experience in payroll for Hungary
- Good command of Hungarian and communicative English
- Practical knowledge of payroll and tax regulations for Hungary
- Good knowledge and practice in using MS Office
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to perform the tasks in compliance with existing procedures, strong internal customer focus, excellent communication skills as well as the proactiveness;
- Sense of ownership of assigned tasks;
- Excellent organization, accuracy, team spirit, attention to details;
- Knowledge of Workday, SAP
