Finom is a European fintech reinventing the financial toolkit for entrepreneurs. We are expanding across EU markets and investing in AI-enabled accounting. The Payment Operations Analyst role is remote from Poland and sits in the SEPA & SWIFT Team, ensuring smooth payments and building a hub from scratch.

You will resolve issues end-to-end, collaborate with banks and partners, and help shape payment services across our product and back-office stack. Join us to impact fintech at scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in payment operations, banking operations, or fintech.
• Knowledge of SEPA SCT/SCT Inst and SWIFT MT/MX, recalls, and investigations.
• Analytical mindset with attention to transaction data.
• Clear written English for partners and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Resolve day-to-day payment issues from customers and support teams.

Payment Operations Analyst (SEPA & SWIFT)

About the role

As a Payment Operations Analyst, you'll be part of our dynamic SEPA & SWIFT Team, which keeps our customers' payments moving. You'll resolve payment issues end-to-end, work directly with banking partners, and help build our Payment Operations hub from scratch.

What you’ll do

• Action tasks from the Customer Support team and resolve customers' day-to-day payment issues.




• Handle SEPA and SWIFT recalls, SEPA & SWIFT payment investigations, and payment and transaction analysis.




• Help build processes for our Payment Operations hub from scratch and support new market launches.




• Directly shape how payment services are offered in our products and back-office systems.




• Communicate with payment infrastructure providers and partner banks to expedite requests and track issues.




• Take initiative and dig for answers to give customers the best experience.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years in payment operations, banking operations, or fintech (SEPA/SWIFT experience strongly preferred).




• Knowledge of SEPA (SCT, SCT Inst, SDD), SWIFT messaging (MT/MX, gpi), recalls, and payment investigations.




• Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail when working with transaction data.




• Clear written English for partner banks and internal teams. Additional European languages are a plus.




• A proactive, ownership-driven approach to ambiguous problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with fraud recall processes or compliance/FCRM collaboration.




• Familiarity with Intercom, Jira, Metabase/SQL, or back-office payment tooling.




• Experience setting up or documenting operational processes.




• AI fluency: comfort using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) in daily work to analyse data, draft communications, document processes, and automate repetitive tasks. Finom is investing heavily in AI, and you'll help identify where it can improve payment operations.
