Amazon Fulfillment Poland sp. z o.o. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a team of Area Managers and drive day-to-day performance at a fulfillment site. You will mentor managers, coordinate with HR, Finance, and Safety, and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and flexibility to work shifts including weekends and nights as needed. You will be pivotal in shaping operational excellence across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or MBA in a related field; strong quantitative background.
• Experience in an operational or logistics role with team management.
• Ability to define program requirements and use data/metrics to drive improvements.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of Area Managers
• Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positively impact site performance
• Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve our operational excellence
• Work closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
• Design and deliver initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance

A day in the life

You’ll lead shifts at one of our operational sites. You’ll also be the key link between a number of teams, including finance, safety and operations integration teams. That means you’ll be close to the day-day operations at your site but also contribute to new ways to innovate at your site.

A typical day will involve meetings with different areas of the business, deep diving into performance and risk metrics for sites, and looking ahead to prepare for different levels of demand. Every day will also involve mentoring and coaching your team. You’ll be a source of leadership and support your team to be the best managers they can be.

IMPORTANT: Operations Managers and their teams work on-site, and are assigned to shifts that include one weekend day, and a day/night rotation every 4 weeks.

We help to manage dynamic inventory and facilitate speedy deliveries round the clock.

Lots of different people work in our Fulfilment Centres, so there are plenty of opportunities for every skillset. Some of us work with physical products, while others analyse data to help everyone across the business make smart decisions.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
• Experience in an operational role, or experience in logistics
• Experience managing teams, or experience in an operational role
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• - Fluent Polish (spoken and written); communicative English (B2+)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree, or MBA in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
• Experience in warehouse operations and logistics or equivalent
• Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
• Experience using Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Outlook
• Experience in an operational role, or experience working with data analytics and using these metrics to identify problems
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and implementing strategic initiatives
• Experience managing teams, or experience in performing accurate and complete chart reviews for profee coding
• Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to write narratives (6-pagers, PRFAQ, COE documents) and present to senior leadership (L8+)
• English proficiency at C1 level or above

Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher base salary, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Your recruiting team will share final salary and any restricted stock unit scheme if applicable, depending on skills and requirements.
