Job description

At Sii Poland, we are looking for Onboard Systems Installation Technicians to join our team within the Engineering Assembly Services Competence Center - a unit specializing in the comprehensive installation of electrical and onboard systems. We carry out projects for leading clients in the automotive, public transportation and industrial automation industries.

This position requires availability for business travel in Poland and abroad to a maximum of about 70% per year. We offer full domestic and foreign per diems - in accordance with the law journal, company clothing - we provide all necessary work clothes, suitcases with the necessary tools for work. We provide travel insurance, accommodation in single rooms, transportation on business trips - we take care of all trip organization and fees.

Your tasks

• Installation of on-board equipment (IDR-i3, IPT2, APC, etc.) according to technical documentation
• Dismantling of legacy AVL systems
• Performing functional tests, configuration and software updates
• Diagnostics and repair of faults in electrical systems, including power systems, controllers and air conditioning systems
• Preparation of as-built documentation and commissioning checklists
• Collaboration with engineering team, and project managers
• Knowledge of CAN, GSM, GNS technology is welcome
• Installation of electrical systems
• Compliance with health and safety regulations and customer requirements
• Maintaining order at the workplace

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as an electrical installer
• Technical education (e.g. electrician, electromechanic or related)
• SEP license (up to 1 kV or higher)
• Ability to work with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read installation diagrams and technical documentation
• Knowledge of Ethernet basics and AVL systems
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, HV testers)
• B category driving license
• Availability (business trips in Poland and abroad) approx. 70% per year
• Communicative knowledge of English
• Fluent knowledge of Polish language required
• Residence in Poland required

Nice to have

• Ability to independently solve technical problems and quickly analyze defects
• Experience in installing on-board systems in rail vehicles or buses
