Job summary

Globetek Ltd. seeks a QA/QC Inspector to provide hands-on technical oversight of welding and anti-corrosion processes in a harsh offshore environment.

The role focuses on inspecting secondary steel elements such as Boat Landings, internal platforms, and airtight doors to ensure long-term integrity. The candidate will perform VT visual inspections, witness MT/UT/PT testing, supervise coating and DFT measurements, and issue NCRs as needed in a fast-paced shipyard setting.

Qualifications

• IWI-S (Standard) or IWI-C (Comprehensive) with VT2/MT2/UT2 per ISO 9712.
• Inspect protective coatings for corrosivity categories C5-M and Im2.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections (VT) of welds and steel structures to ASME/ISO 5817 levels.
• Witness and verify NDT testing (MT, UT, PT).
• Supervise surface preparation and coating, perform DFT and adhesion tests.
• Identify deviations, issue NCRs, and track to resolution.
• Spot-check material certificates (3.1/3.2) for traceability.
