Job summary

GE Vernova in Warsaw, Poland seeks a Fuel Performance Analysis Engineer to perform coupled heat transfer and finite element analyses for fuel rod pellets and cladding. You will collaborate with design and material science experts to ensure design integrity and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include establishing thermal-mechanical limits, evaluating fuel behavior in transient analyses, and presenting findings to customers and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree in engineering is preferred and beneficial.
• Proven track record of problem-solving ability and ability to perform complex engineering analyses with thorough documentation.
• Experience with Python and FORTRAN is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform coupled heat transfer and finite element analyses for fuel rod pellet and cladding.
• Collaborate with mechanical design experts, material scientists, and analysis engineers to meet performance expectations.
• Establish thermal-mechanical operating limits for fuel products.
• Support evaluation of fuel behavior for transient analyses.
• Communicate results to customers and regulators with well-documented analyses.
