Job summary

Volta is seeking a Safety Manager to own on-site safety for our Nordics project. Embedded in the project team, you will shape the site's safety culture with the Project Delivery Manager and ensure everyone on the build goes home safely each day.

You will report to the Safety Function Manager, applying Volta's fleet standards on site and maintaining transparent reporting of safety metrics and contractor performance. This role requires relocation to the Nordics during delivery.

Qualifications

• Construction safety experience on data center or major projects is essential
• A recognized safety qualification such as NEBOSH or an equivalent
• A record managing contractor safety on live sites
• Calm, credible incident management
• The presence to influence behavior on site daily
• Willingness to be based in the Nordics through delivery

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day site safety across all contractors and activities
• Implement Volta's safety standards and management system on site
• Run inductions, inspections and audits to a disciplined rhythm
• Manage contractor safety performance and hold the standard visibly
• Lead incident response, investigation and corrective action
• Report leading and lagging indicators honestly and on time
• Ensure compliance with Nordic safety regulation
