Position Overview

As a .NET Developer to the Integration team, you'll work on designing, creating, and maintaining seamless integrations between systems, whether it's business‑to‑business or application‑to‑application. Your expertise will transform intricate technical details into practical, real‑world solutions, making complex concepts both accessible and actionable. You will have a chance to collaborate closely with multiple application teams, playing a crucial role in the end‑to‑end process to ensure efficiency, reliability, and alignment with Blue Water's needs.

Strong backend development skills are a must-have.

Responsibilities
  • Develop .NET applications in C#.
  • Integrate with existing systems using modern cloud technologies (e.g. RESTful APIs, Message Queues, microservices).
  • Manage version control and automate deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues.
  • Collaborate with application teams in an Agile environment.
  • Engage in dynamic problem‑solving sessions with the rest of the team.
Your background
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in an IT related field or equivalent IT experience.
  • .NET Development: Skilled in utilizing the .NET 6+ to build robust and customized microservices that meet integration needs.
  • Integration Technologies: Experience in working with some integration technologies, including RESTful APIs, FTP, and Message Queues.
  • Version Control and DevOps: Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Experience with one or more of the following Azure Cloud services: Storage, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and Service Bus.
  • Problem‑Solving and Troubleshooting: Capable of diagnosing and resolve integration issues.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Good team player, capable of collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including business analysts and stakeholders, to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments, delivering solutions in iterative way, and adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field.

Practical Details

Blue Water Shipping is headquartered in Esbjerg, Denmark, and our IT development teams are in Esbjerg and Gdansk. The primary location for this role is the Blue Water Shipping’s office in Gdansk, Poland. There will be occasional travel to Esbjerg in Denmark or Warsaw in relation to PI planning and yearly department meetings.
