Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas Teacher certificate at the appropriate level for assignment OR Accepted in an approved Alternative Certificate Program (ACP) and have passed the required prerequisite examinations.
• Experience working with diverse student populations preferred.
• Bilingual fluency is beneficial in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Teach the District curriculum utilizing well-designed lesson plans and rigorous instruction.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional materials for differentiation.
• Develop instructional units and project-based learning for collaboration and creativity.
• Assess and document student mastery using multiple assessment tools and interventions.
• Proctor tests and maintain accurate test data and records.
• Maintain attendance records, grade reports, and state/local assessment documents.
• Apply student-centered discipline and effective classroom management strategies.
• Engage parents and families in student progress and school programs.
• Participate in curriculum development and district professional development activities.
• Attend school events and perform other duties as assigned.
