Job summary

Devoteam is seeking dedicated Data / AI Engineers (Lead Engineer and seniors) to leverage experience in Data engineering and AI in Warsaw, Poland. The selected candidates will work as part of the Data & AI Factory team to support data-ops and AI projects.

Successful candidates will be involved in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and models, turning data into valuable business insights. A comprehensive employment contract and various perks, including educational opportunities, are offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or Math, or equivalent experience.

For a prestigious customer – we are looking for dedicated Data / AI Engineers (Lead Engineer and seniors) to leverage their extensive experience in Data engineering, AI and public cloud areas, interpreting the customer’s business and technical requirements to extract value from data, using Dataiku and GCP products and services as well as other industry‑known technologies.

In this position you will:

• Work as part of the Data & AI Factory team, collaborating with the customer to support their data‑ops and AI projects
• Be involved in designing, building, maintaining and troubleshooting data pipelines, models and transformations
• Help build, maintain and troubleshoot data observability solutions to improve data quality
• Turn data into valuable business insights, preparing custom solutions optimised for each client
• Act as a trusted advisor for junior team members
• Lead by example

Note: this position may require on‑call work, including overnight and weekend availability.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or Math, or related technical field / equivalent experience
• Experience with Python
• Knowledge of Go
• Good DBT knowledge
• Proficient in SQL
• Good knowledge of Power BI
• Some experience with Vertex AI and Dataiku (certification a big asset)
• Experience with programming in Agile methodology as well as ITIL best practices
• Knowledge of database and data analysis technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases, data warehouse design, and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Relevant experience with GCP data products and servicesSome experience with job orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, Dagster)
• Some experience with data ingestion tools (e.g. Fivetran, Airbyte)
• Some experience in Hadoop and using platforms such as Apache Spark, Pig, or Hive
• Fluency in English
