Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Mechanical Engineer focusing on Product Definition to design turbine components, translate concepts into precise technical definitions, and create 3D models and detailed assemblies.

You will contribute to technical improvements of existing products, collaborate across disciplines, document solutions, and share knowledge with the team, with a strong emphasis on quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience in Engineering, Technology, or Product Definition.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage tasks independently.
• Effective oral and written communication skills to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in a construction or structural design capacity within a technical environment

Responsibilities

• Design & Definition: Create accurate definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies using 2D cross-sections, 3D models, and data formats.
• Support & Collaboration: Provide technical data to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection processes.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Use your analytical skills and experience to solve technical challenges, proposing solutions that improve current practices while working within established guidelines.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Understand how your work integrates with other teams, collaborating across functional boundaries to ensure successful project execution.
• Knowledge Sharing: Develop your expertise in turbine design and provide informal guidance to new team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
