Job summary

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent from an accredited program.

• Experience designing and executing proof-of-concept prototypes.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Energetic team player with creativity and problem-solving skills.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

The candidate should be comfortable working with electrical engineers, software engineers, designers, and human factors engineers, and be able to adapt and recommend solutions to non-engineering colleagues and clients.

Requirements

• BSME or equivalent from an accredited engineering program
• 1-3 years of mechanical engineering experience
• Proficiency in 3D CAD design using SolidWorks
• Background in manufacturing processes across prototype and production levels, including laboratory and machine shop work
• Experience designing and executing proof-of-concept prototypes
• Understanding of theoretical mechanical engineering principles
• Energetic team player with a creative spirit and a knack for problem-solving
• Curiosity to build knowledge in new technologies, industries, and business models quickly
• Ability to learn and adapt with creativity, with enthusiasm for solving problems and leading innovation

Nice to have

• Knowledge of design for injection molding, material research and selection, and mechanism design
• Experience in measurement, experiment design, and electromechanical system design

• Understanding of dynamics, dimension and tolerance studies, and thermal analysis/flow simulation
• Skills in sheet metal design, machined part design, and structural frame design
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) and applied safety standards such as IEC-61010 and IEC-60601
