Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Engineering Senior Specialist in the MDC Tendering space to lead technical execution of subsea tenders and FEEDs. The role focuses on reviewing client specifications, selecting viable products, and generating technical data for costing, while ensuring compliance with company standards and ITT processes.

Reporting to the Engineering Leader Projects and Tenders, the position collaborates with regional engineering and design teams to drive towards standard solutions,

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject.
• Experienced on FEED/Tendering Engineering and Costing.
• Experienced in design, selection and system integration of Subsea Structures, Connections and Hydraulic Distribution, Umbilical and Jumper systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution of Subsea tenders/feeds/quotes from system level to orders.
• Ensure compliance with Tender/FEED processes and company specifications.
• Engage with customers during clarifications and reviews; produce technical write-ups and data sheets.
• Drive cost reductions through standard, configurable solutions and ITT compliance.
• Coordinate with designers for drawings, P&ID inputs and general assemblies.
• Obtain necessary technical support and approvals for design/product selection.

The Manifolds, Distribution and Connections (MDC) Tendering is accountable for the definition of the MDC system technical solution that best applies to Tender/Feed assigned as well as to contribute during Subsea Projects Execution phase to the system engineering definition when required.

On Tender, working closely with Tender Team and MDC Engineering Team, the position shall take full ownership for reviewing and understanding client technical specifications, selecting suitable and commercially viable products / systems, and producing technical information for cost generation.

On FEED/Execution, when required, the position shall contribute to the system detail engineering definition that meets customer and project requirements. Reporting to the Engineering Leader Projects and Tenders with a strong link to the Regional Engineering department.

Main responsibilities

• Take a lead role in the technical execution of Subsea tenders/feeds/quotes, ranging from system level offerings to individual orders.
• Ensure compliance in the Tender/FEED execution with company processes (design reviews, Cost Time Resource (CTRs), BOM’s reviews, etc).
• Ensure compliance with Company and Industry specifications relating to the design and build of subsea equipment.
• Engage Early in the Customer relation cycle and technical specification review
• Review and execute clarifications within Tender/FEED execution, pre-submittal, and post-submittal.
• Ensures Design Review validation through the Pursuit Phase.
• Produce technical write-ups, Equipment Overview Sheets & Product Data Sheets.
• Revise and ensure approvals of pricing BOM’s (Bill of Materials) / MEL (Master Equipment List) / MTO (Material Take-off), Cost Time Resource (CTR).
• Work with Designers for input into the execution of drawings for tenders, P&ID’s, general assembly drawings.
• Work to drive out cost from system solutions.
• Work to drive towards standard, configurable solutions and away from bespoke designs, while maximizing ITT compliance.
• Work to obtain necessary technical support and approvals on design/product selection
• Communicate with vendors for the supply of third‑party equipment

• Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject to this position
• Experienced on FEED/Tendering Engineering and Costing
• Experienced in design, selection and system integration of Subsea Structures, Connections and Hydraulic Distribution, Umbilical and Jumper systems (as Flying Leads, Umbilical Terminations, etc)
• Appropriate level of experience on Subsea industry

For Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 45,087 To 83,000.

The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.

For Poland: The initial pay range for this position will be PLN 182,000 To 338,000.

There are no provisions of any collective agreement relating to pay which will be applied to this position.
