Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation in Gdynia, Poland, is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Integrated Systems & Solutions team. You will contribute to the development of 3D models and 2D drawings for ship systems, and collaborate with sales to support new build projects and propulsion solutions.

The ideal candidate has a degree in shipbuilding or ocean engineering, 2+ years in marine engineering, and strong CAD skills with NX or Cadmatic. Fluent technical English and proactive collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in shipbuilding or ocean engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in marine industry / Marine System engineering.
• Experience with CAD systems to develop and analyze ship design documentation.
• Fluent written and spoken English (marine/technical vocabulary).
• Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• Willingness to work across organizational boundaries (teams and business lines).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams to support new build projects.
• Develop 3D models for mechanical products and systems.
• Create 2D technical drawings and system diagrams for stakeholders.
