BlackLine is seeking a founding Engineering Manager to establish and lead our Krakow Engineering Hub. You will hire, mentor, and shape a world‑class software team, partnering with product leadership to define priorities and delivery discipline.
You will champion AI‑accelerated development, setting standards for code quality, CI/CD, testing, and observability while guiding cross‑functional collaboration across time zones and cultures.
As the founding Engineering Manager for our new Engineering Hub in Krakow, you have one of the most consequential roles in this new chapter of BlackLine's growth. You will be the architect of the team itself — hiring and developing a world‑class group of engineers (Software Engineers, Senior Software Engineers, and a Staff Engineer), and shaping the culture, practices, and career trajectories of everyone in the hub. You will partner closely with our Staff Engineer and cross‑functional product leadership to ensure the team operates with clarity, urgency, and a high engineering bar. You will champion a culture of AI‑accelerated development, where tools like Claude and Cursor are woven into the everyday fabric of how we build. This is not just a management role, it is a founding leadership role with an enduring impact on our mission to deliver autonomous finance.
