Job summary

Atos SE is seeking a skilled Mainframe IMS Specialist in Warsaw to maintain IMS DB and IMS TM/DC environments, participate in upgrades, and optimize performance. You will work collaboratively to implement changes, support automation, and ensure documentation and operational procedures are up to date.

Ideal candidates bring IMS experience, JCL/TSO/ISPF proficiency, and familiarity with DBRC/VSAM. Hybrid work arrangements apply, with ongoing opportunities for training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mainframe environments with IMS DB and IMS TM/DC.
• Proficiency with JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF.
• Knowledge of DBRC, VSAM, performance tuning, backup and recovery concepts.
• Experience with scripting tools such as REXX.
• Familiarity with Mainframe monitoring and scheduling tools.
• Additional experience with DB2, IBM MQ, COBOL, PL/I, Java, CICS, or automation initiatives is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain IMS DB and IMS TM/DC environments.
• Assist with installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor system performance and help identify optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshoot incidents and contribute to problem resolution.
• Participate in change implementations and system enhancements.
• Support automation, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Contribute to backup, recovery, and availability processes.
