About the role:

The Logistics Tower Lead is a pivotal role within our Global Business Services (GBS) organization, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end‑to‑end transportation of both liquids and solid materials across our global supply chain network. This strategic leadership position drives operational excellence, fosters innovation, and ensures the highest standards of safety and compliance while contributing to the overall success of our business.
You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams. This role oversees logistics operations for the EMEA region and leads a team of approximately 30 FTEs across Liquid Planning, Solid Planning, and Logistics CI functions.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and oversee the transport team, fostering a high‑performing and collaborative culture.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Actively support career development within Logistics GBS teams.
  • Guide team members in resolving service disruptions and exceptions.
  • Determine optimal equipment utilization for shipments, balancing cost and service requirements.
  • Support shipment tendering and manage spot pricing with service providers.
  • Monitor daily shipments to meet pickup and delivery schedules.
  • Analyze weekly/monthly metrics to implement proactive corrective actions and improve KPIs.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders; act as point of contact and escalation for logistics senior management.
  • Manage transition activities, supporting the build‑up of the GBS Logistics Team in alignment with the CSD GBS Lead.
  • Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for Logistics GBS towards Global/Regional Leadership and GBS CSD Lead during and post‑transition.
  • Lead and participate in annual continuous improvement projects related to transport activities.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve logistics systems, tools, and processes.
About you:
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in transportation and distribution, ideally within a global environment.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • You bring strong knowledge of logistics processes, including shipment tendering, equipment selection, and cost optimization.
  • You are familiar with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and proficient in MS Office tools.
  • You have supervisory experience and a proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.
  • You demonstrate strategic thinking, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • You excel in communication and stakeholder management, with experience in international contexts.
  • You are results‑driven, resilient, and capable of driving change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
