We are Joyteractive - a leading mobile game developer and publisher specializing in the captivating world of puzzle games. Today, our team boasts 60+ rock star professionals, and we're on the lookout for talented individuals to help us dominate the world of puzzles!

Our leader is Cryptogram: Word Brain Puzzle - #3 spot among all iOS/Android word games in the US.

We’re looking for a skilled Level Designer to support our R&D team on an outsourcing basis.

This is a project-based role focused on building levels for a word puzzle prototype. You’ll be working in Unity, following a clear brief and reference examples. Collaboration will be close with our in-house designer, with frequent feedback loops to ensure quality.

Responsibilities
  • Create Fun Levels: Design and build levels for a word puzzle prototype in Unity, ensuring engaging and consistent gameplay.

  • Difficulty Curve Management: Balance levels according to a defined difficulty progression, following the provided brief and references.

  • Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with our in-house designer, sharing progress frequently and iterating based on feedback.

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Level Designer, specifically in casual or hyper-casual genres

  • Basic understanding of game design principles

  • Basic knowledge of Unity

  • English B2

Will be a plus
  • A passion for puzzle games and hands-on experience with the genre (on PC, consoles, mobile, or physical puzzles)

  • Basic programming skills

  • Experience with level analytics and conducting A/B tests to optimize game performance

  • Interest in various AI tools

  • Experience with google sheets
