## Lead Mechanical EngineerWroclaw, Dolnoslaskie, Poland**Location:** Wroclaw, Poland**Position: Lead Mechanical Engineer****Reports to:** Mechanical Engineering Manager**Role Overview**Fluke in Poland is expanding its presence by seeking new talent to join R&D team in Wroclaw. We are seeking a technically exceptional Lead Mechanical Engineer to guide and elevate mechanical engineering. You will be part of global Fluke’s mechanical engineering group and cooperate with engineers working within Europe but also North America and need international vendors. This role focuses on advancing mechanical design capabilities, particularly in plastic part design and hardware integration, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering engineering excellence.In this role, you will lead the development of products from concept through launch and continue improving our portfolio. You will interact with a wide variety of internal and external teams, such as Project Management, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, suppliers and external partners, Electrical engineering, Business units, Product Compliance, and Project Coordination.Throughout mechanical designs, design reviews, prototype design solutions, detailed drawing work, and proper documentation, you will be responsible for developing mechanical elements used in Fluke products. This includes components and overall system designs supporting Design for Manufacturability (DFM), industry standards, and Fluke defined product robustness requirements.**Responsibilities*** Lead mechanical design efforts for new and existing products, with a focus on plastic part design and hardware integration.* Contribute to the design of injection molding tools and ensure manufacturability of plastic components.* Provide technical mentorship and guidance to mechanical engineers, supporting their technical development and ensuring high-quality engineering output.* Ensure designs meet compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., CE, UL, RoHS) and internal robustness requirements.* Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure effective mechanical-electrical integration.* Conduct and lead mechanical design reviews, risk assessments and mitigation, program validation activities based on system-level reviews.* Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies, tools, and documentation practices.* Provide hands-on support in designing, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.* Support Mechanical Engineering Manager in global efforts for estimating mechanical work scope and managing project outcomes.* Lead product improvements activities**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.* Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, with proven expertise in plastic part design and hardware systems.* Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory standards for plastic and hardware products.* Proficiency in CAD design, experience with Creo/Pro Engineer is strongly preferred - 3D modeling, creation of drawings with GD&T, and data management.* Demonstrated hands-on experience in prototyping and iterative design.* Preferred experience with FEA and CFD tools for design validation.* Strong technical leadership skills* Proven strong interpersonal, technical communication, and problem-solving skills required* A high degree of self-discipline, integrity and ownership.* Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills.**Fortive Corporation Overview**Fortive’s essential technology makes the world safer and more productive.
