Job summary

Emergn, a technology and management consultancy, seeks a Lead Java Full Stack Developer in Poland to build scalable Java applications and provide technical leadership. You will ensure alignment with best practices and business requirements while guiding a team across major projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java development experience with high-performance applications.
• Strong expertise in Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and front-end tech like Angular/React.
• Cloud and containerization proficiency (AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with observability tools (New Relic) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record of technical leadership, project management and agile methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in designing, coding, testing and deploying Java-based applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, architecture and delivery timelines.
• Conduct code reviews and promote coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
• Mentor other developers and facilitate knowledge sharing.

As a Lead Java Full Stack Developer at Emergn you will build scalable, high-performance Java applications. You design, develop and maintain complex, scalable, high-performance Java applications. You will provide technical leadership and make sure deliverables align with best practices and business requirements.

We want you to:

This job might be for you if you have:

• 8+ years of experience in Java development focused on high-performance applications, with strong expertise in Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Experience with RESTful API development and front-end technologies such as Angular and React, with solid Angular experience.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), including AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials, AWS Technical Essentials and AWS Solutions Architect Essentials.
• Knowledge of observability and New Relic, including New Relic Observability Foundations and Observability Practitioner.
• Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, project management and agile methodologies, with clear communication of technical solutions.
• Claude Code experience and an agentic mindset.

You might also have:

• Experience in microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices.
• Advanced knowledge of database management (SQL, NoSQL).
