Job summary

Hyland is seeking a Lead Developer to drive the performance of our software products from Poland, with remote work options and cross-border collaboration across teams.

You will design, develop, and maintain complex systems, mentor engineers, and lead delivery pipelines with a focus on security and quality. Remote work enables flexible schedules while contributing to major enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience overseeing complex systems analysis, design, and development programs.
  • Proficiency in Java/Spring and cloud-native development in AWS/Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience with build environments and delivery pipelines.
  • Experience with CI/CD and test automation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex code across teams based on functional specifications; design algorithms per standards.
  • Maintain and improve codebase, data design, performance, security, reliability, and quality.
  • Understand and contribute to software architecture; set initial implementation standards.
  • Conduct complex peer code reviews and assess broader impact of changes.
  • Mentor team members and provide constructive feedback to leadership.
  • Lead delivery pipeline implementation, including test automation and security practices.

The Lead Developer is responsible for the overall performance of the product by applying principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software. This role ensures timely delivery of high-quality software within established release timelines and guidelines.

Your Role Responsibilities - Here's What You'll Do
  • Develop complex code based on functional specifications across teams and programs; complete logic and algorithm design in alignment with established standards
  • Maintain and improve codebase, data design, and best practices including performance, security, reliability, and quality attributes
  • Understand and contribute to software architecture; create initial implementation standards and guidelines that enable teams to begin executing on technical specifications
  • Perform complex peer code reviews and analysis; provide insight on the broader impact of software changes across teams and programs
  • Mentor, coach, and provide constructive feedback to team members; share observations on team technical capabilities with leadership
  • Design, contribute to, and lead the implementation of the delivery pipeline, including test automation, security, and performance practices
Role Essentials - Required Skills
  • Significant experience overseeing complex systems analysis, design, and development programs
  • Mastery of one or more general-purpose programming languages, including Java/Spring
  • Extensive hands-on experience designing, developing, and operating cloud-native applications and services in cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Significant experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Significant demonstrated experience with build environments and delivery pipelines
  • Experience with continuous software delivery, test automation, and continuous integration tools

Pay Transparency (annualy)

Poland: 290,200 - 352,500 PLN gross Italy: 52,700 - 63,500 €

The posted pay range represents the company’s good faith estimate for this role. Actual compensation may differ based on relevant experience, skills, education, and work
