Job description

We are proud to announce the launch of the Vestas Blades Process Engineering Factory in Goleniów - a new organization where we will develop, build, and invest in the future of wind turbine blade production. Our aim is to create a world-class engineering hub with robust processes and capabilities, delivering consistent, high-quality support across all manufacturing sites while setting new standards in manufacturing excellence

Vestas Technology & Operations > Manufacturing > Blades PE Layup

The Training team is responsible for creating and managing process‑specific training materials, including videos and documentation, as well as developing and maintaining the training roadmap, covering key PFMEA elements. The team supports implementation of training at specific sites as needed. It consists of 1–2 engineers and is part of the larger Lay‑up Department, which includes 10–16 highly skilled engineers divided into five teams: Process, Tooling, Documentation, Operational Support, and Training

Responsibilities

You will play a key role in developing and improving training materials for wind turbine blade production, with a focus on modern digital systems and process visualization. You will ensure training is practical and engaging, tailored to factory employees, and support their learning and performance on the shop floor

  • Design and optimise training material within the Layup process: analysis of AS IS and future state of our training material and systems, create Process Roadmap and plans for the present and future states, define training material requirements and specifications if material shall be developed of others, standardise generic layup training materials, be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability
  • Investigate and solve training issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys and Fishbone Diagrams
  • Apply continuous improvement principles using quality tools such as Kaizen to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final training material quality
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of manufacturing engineering or an equivalent level
  • Train the Trainer or other training education
  • 6–8 years of developing and planning training materials mainly for unskilled workers
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Polish is valuable
  • CAD/CATIA understanding
  • Willingness to travel to support multiple Vestas sites
  • Experience training shop‑floor employees
Competencies
  • Ability to assess skill gaps and define learning objectives aligned with business goals
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, blended learning, and experiential training formats
  • Experience collaborating with engineering managers and subject‑matter experts to develop functional training content
  • Ensure training aligns with ISO standards, safety regulations, and internal policies
  • Familiarity with LMS (Learning Management Systems) and e‑learning tools
  • Self‑motivated, result‑oriented, well‑organised with effective collaboration skills
  • Willingness to spend time in the factory environment to understand processes and support problem‑solving
