Vestas Blades Process Engineering establish a high-performing engineering organization capable of setting new industry benchmarks in manufacturing excellence. the main purpose of the organization is optimize existing blade manufacturing processes and develop robust, standardized and capable processes for new blade designs and to deliver consistent, high-quality engineering support across all manufacturing sites.

The Lay-up Blades process department is responsible for Lay-up process flow, PFMEA, risk assessments, process specs and requirements. Shall also create the process road map, for the present and future states within Lay-up process, implementing standardization via process optimization to ensure process stability and capability to improve overall business performance.

Responsibilities
  • Design and optimizing production processes, within lay-up operations
  • Create the process road map. Analysis of AS IS and future state
  • Process standardization and optimization to improve overall business performance (SQDC)
  • Assist and support Process Optimization in the manufacturing sites
  • Use digital tools like digital twins and data analytics to improve performance and make data-driven decisions
  • Investigating and solving production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA
  • Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
Qualifications
  • About 6 years of experience in similar roles as described above
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or other similar fields
  • Experience and knowledge of optimization and standardization within manufacturing processes as well as knowledge of composite materials (fiberglass, carbon fiber, epoxy)
  • Fluent English, Polish language will be valuable
  • CAD/CATIA understanding
  • GB Six Sigma or Advance Manufacturing Process Analysis
  • Willingness to travel to support multiple Vestas sites
