Job summary

BEC is seeking a Kafka Systems Engineer to design, implement and maintain a Kafka-based platform supporting Danish banks. You’ll build and improve monitoring, logging, and deployment processes while preparing clear Kafka documentation for internal teams.

The role requires strong Java/Kafka experience, OpenShift or Kubernetes familiarity, and collaboration with agile teams using DDD principles to ensure scalable, stable solutions.

Qualifications

• Education as IT/software engineer or equivalent.
• Experience with Kafka-based event streaming platforms is a plus.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the Kafka platform for clients.
• Develop tools for monitoring, logging, and deployment automation.
• Prepare documentation on Kafka usage and best practices.
• Collaborate with other dev teams applying Domain Driven Design.
