The EIB – the European Union’s bank and a global leader in climate finance – in the framework of its GRAD programme, is seeking to recruit for its Operations Directorate (OPS), at its headquarters in Luxembourg, Junior Professionals*.

We are recruiting Junior Professionals to take on operational roles within OPS. If you are selected, you will receive more information about the team that best matches your profile.
You will be joining an operational team within OPS, the EIB’s largest directorate, with around 760 colleagues across six departments.
This environment will give you the chance to work on projects that have real impact, while building strong experience at the start of your career. OPS is the EIB’s client‑facing directorate, responsible for the origination and execution of projects inside of the European Union and for delivering the bank’s business plan (“Operational Plan”) in line with priorities defined by its shareholders, the EU’s 27 Member States. In addition, OPS is responsible for the mobilisation and management of third‑party funds (mandates) in support of EIB activities and coordinates and provides advisory services to project promoters and managing authorities receiving EU budgetary funds.
On occasion, you may have the opportunity to accompany senior colleagues in client‑facing meetings and negotiations abroad.

(*** ) Unless stated explicitly as a required qualification, a good command of French is not a pre‑requisite for hire. As both English and French are however official working languages of the EIB, proficiency in both languages is a pre‑requisite for your future career development. Any language clause in your contract must be fulfilled in order for you to be eligible for a promotion (either the annual appraisal cycle or via an internal selection process). Proficiency is understood to mean the attainment of level 5 of the Inter Institutional language courses, corresponding to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). The Bank offers appropriate training support.
