Job summary

Allegro is seeking a junior software engineer in Poznań to contribute across backend, data, and frontend components. You’ll grow with a team that builds Kotlin/JVM services, Scala/Spark data processing, and React-based frontend elements.

You’ll start with well-scoped tasks, receive mentoring, and work in a hybrid model with flexible hours (4/1) and up to 30 days of remote work. A bonus is awarded based on performance and company results.

Qualifications

• Experience programming in Kotlin or Java.
• Willing to work across backend, data, and frontend technologies.
• Care about code quality, welcomes constructive code reviews.
• Communicates clearly with teammates and stakeholders, and takes ownership of well-scoped tasks.
• Has a basic understanding of microservices.
• Is curious about data engineering and willing to learn Scala, Spark, and BigQuery.
• Professional working proficiency in English (at least B2).

Responsibilities

• Build useful software from product and business needs, with tests and maintainability in mind.
• Learn how our systems fit together and develop Kotlin/JVM services, data processing, and frontend components.
• Help keep systems reliable by writing tests and participating in code reviews.
• Work with modern tools and contribute to Allegro’s AI-assisted development workflows.
