Job summary

Software Mind is seeking a Junior AI-Driven Software Engineer to join a cross-functional team in Kraków. You will contribute to backend tasks using .NET, improve APIs, and learn how AI assists real development challenges in a collaborative setting.

You will work with C#, ASP.NET Core, and databases, while growing your skills through code reviews, mentoring, and practical projects. This role emphasizes hands-on learning and responsible AI usage.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of commercial experience.
• Practical knowledge of C# and willingness to grow within the .NET / ASP.NET Core ecosystem.
• Hands-on projects, GitHub portfolio, or commercial exposure demonstrating skills.
• Basic understanding of backend development, Web API, Entity Framework, and databases.
• Working knowledge of Git and the ability to read and improve existing code.
• Practical skills in leveraging AI tools for debugging, research, and automation.
• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher.
• Strong communication, independence, curiosity, and receptiveness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Developing backend tasks in .NET, maintaining APIs, and assisting with system integrations.
• Writing clean, testable code and creating unit tests with mentor support.
• Utilizing AI tools consciously for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and technical research.

Project – the aim you’ll have

Join a dedicated team of Polish and British developers, testers, DevOps engineers, Data Engineers, Project Managers, and Scrum Masters building innovative document management software to advance clinical research.
We’ve partnered with our client for years, working on a trust-based, collaborative model. Our work spans development (.NET, C#, React), automation (Playwright), and DevOps (Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform), with a strong culture of knowledge sharing and teamwork.

Position – how you’ll contribute

We are looking for a growth-oriented intern or junior .NET developer who already has solid C# basics and genuinely wants to learn. • Practical skills in leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, Claude, Gemini) for debugging, research, and automation
• Good understanding of AI limitations, including hallucinations, data security, privacy, and the necessity of verification
• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher
• Strong communication skills, independence, curiosity, and readiness to receive constructive feedback
