Lufthansa Systems Poland is seeking an experienced Java backend engineer to design, build and operate cloud-native microservices and REST APIs used across the Lufthansa Group. You will own the full software lifecycle, from design to deployment, leveraging Kubernetes, CI/CD and AI-assisted tools in a cross-functional team.

The role offers a hybrid work model with 2 days per week in the Gdańsk office, international collaboration, and growth opportunities within a global IT environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with REST APIs and event-driven architectures (Kafka).
• Practical experience with containers, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Understanding of software architecture, clean code and engineering best practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English (B2/C1).
• Availability to work in a hybrid model – 2 days per week in our Gdańsk office.
