Job description
How you will make an impact

Do you want to shape how Arla invests in technology across a complex enterprise landscape? If so, we encourage you to join IT Foundation as our IT Portfolio Partner and take end-to-end ownership of portfolio governance, financial control and prioritization.

This exciting and visible role spans funding, performance and stakeholder alignment—offering the chance to create tangible results by ensuring our investments deliver the right value at the right time. The Portfolio Partner plays an important role and is a vital part of the management team of Foundations.

You will administer and govern the IT portfolio for a Foundation domain, balancing investment across operations, maintenance/technical debt and new development within budget. With strong financial control, clear visibility of performance and value, and rigorous stakeholder engagement across Arla, you will keep the portfolio aligned to priorities and compliant with governance standards.

  • Maintain portfolio investment plans and roadmaps aligned with priorities and delivery calendars.
  • Govern portfolio financials: funding requests, forecasting and tracking in Capex Insights, variance analysis and reporting.
  • Monitor performance/value KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs); coordinate with product teams to address gaps and drive improvements.
  • Run governance cadences (business reviews, risk/issue forums); prepare concise packs with insights, recommendations and required decisions.
  • Manage vendor scorecards and contract renewals with procurement and product teams; track obligations and performance.
  • Track and monitor value generation from the respective teams and support the financials processes.

The role sits within IT Foundations which covers what we define as utility services like Network, Datacenter & Cloud, End User Computing, Security Operations, OT Infrastructure & End User Support. You will be a part of an inclusive team in a high-trust environment aligning team goals with product and portfolio priorities. Your stakeholder landscape spans the whole of Arla. Typical processes include applying for funding, prioritising and tracking portfolio spend, and ensuring we either stay within the frame or fully utilise the allocation. Also, you will execute practical tasks such as entering requests into systems, routing for approval to stakeholders and handing over decisions to the Heads of Product.

What will make you successful

We expect you have a structured, analytical approach and solid economic understanding that enable you to drive effective control of funding, forecasting, tracking and variance analysis. Robustness and diligent follow-up help you keep decisions moving and ensure completeness. Domain-level general knowledge allows you to ask the right questions and challenge assumptions constructively. Stakeholder management is essential in this enterprise-wide role—you build transparency, secure alignment and provide scenario-based recommendations (defer, accelerate, re-scope) based on value, risk and capacity. Confident facilitation and clear communication support governance forums and decision-making, while a continuous improvement mindset helps simplify reporting and processes. Fluent English is required.

What do we offer?

We’re committed to professional development and promoting from within. Our positive and collaborative culture will bring out the best in you. You will have significant visibility across Arla, the mandate to leave your mark on portfolio outcomes and the opportunity to create measurable results by aligning investment, performance and governance.
