Job summary

BaseBeyond GmbH seeks an IT/OT Network Administrator focused on Cisco LAN technologies to keep our corporate and industrial networks stable, secure, and high-performing.

You will bridge IT and OT domains, supporting critical production systems and driving improvements across the infrastructure while traveling occasionally for site support.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of hands-on IT/OT network administration experience.
• Strong Cisco LAN troubleshooting and enterprise campus network exposure.
• Familiarity with PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, EtherNet/IP and IT/OT segmentation.

Your Daily Business

As an IT/OT Network Administrator with a focus on Cisco LAN technologies, you will ensure the stability, security, and performance of our corporate and industrial network environments. You will work across both IT and OT domains, supporting critical production systems and contributing to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure.

• Network Monitoring & Reliability:Continuously monitor LAN and WLAN infrastructure with professional monitoring platforms such as OPManager and SolarWinds, analyze performance trends, identify anomalies, and initiate preventive or corrective actions to maintain high availability in production environments.
• Infrastructure Management: Design, configure, and maintain Cisco-based network components, including Catalyst switches, industrial Ethernet switches, wireless controllers, and access points, while ensuring configurations follow internal standards and best practices.
• OT Network Support:Operate, support, and maintain IT/OT network infrastructures leveraging technologies such as MST, HRSP, and multicast, providing stable and resilient network connectivity for industrial communication protocols including PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, and EtherNet/IP.
• Project Participation:Contribute to network deployment and modernization projects, including hardware rollouts, network design, segmentation initiatives, and security improvements.
• 3rd-Level Troubleshooting:Provide expert-level support for complex network issues, working closely with IT, OT, and production teams to ensure system stability and minimal downtime.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in IT/OT networks, Cisco LAN technologies, and network security. Ideally, you bring the following skills and experience:

• IT & Network Administration Experience: 5-10 years of hands‑on experience in IT/OT network administration, with a solid understanding of enterprise network environments.
• Technical Proficiency:Strong experience as a hands‑on Cisco LAN network specialist with extensive troubleshooting experience, practical exposure to enterprise campus networks, proficiency with professional monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and OPManager, and a proven track record in maintaining and upgrading Cisco LAN infrastructure in an IT and OT environment.
• OT & Industrial Networks: Familiarity with industrial network environments, including protocols such as PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, EtherNet/IP, as well as segmentation and secure, controlled communication between IT and OT networks.
• Network security:Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles in IT/OT environments, including network segmentation strategies, firewall technologies, secure access concepts, and related solutions (e.g., Cisco ISE, Fortinet, Palo Alto), as well as relevant security frameworks and standards such as NIST and ISO/IEC 27001.
• Cloud, Hybrid & Monitoring:Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS, including hybrid infrastructure architecture, migration of on-premises environments to the cloud, and cloud networking. Hands‑on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as ManageEngine OpManager, Datadog, or SolarWinds is a plus.
• Certifications: Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are considered an advantage but equivalent or stronger hands‑on experience in enterprise network environments is considered more important.
• Customer Service & Communication: Strong communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset, enabling effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Work Style & Mindset: High level of initiative, ability to work independently, and confidence operating in complex, cross‑functional environments.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally for project or site support.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken). Fluency in Polish and/or other additional languages are a plus.
