Job summary

Ework Group is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer for a banking client. You will build and maintain automated test suites in Python and Robot Framework, test APIs, Kafka streams, and databases, and verify XML/JSON data formats within a SCRUM team.

The role is hybrid with about 60% office presence and requires collaboration with developers and analysts on the Global Payment Capture initiative, including test design, execution, and quality reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Python for test development.
• Robot Framework automation experience.
• REST API testing with appropriate tooling.
• Kafka, XML and JSON testing.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
• ISTQB Foundation Level knowledge.
• Strong QA processes experience (manual and automated).
• Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Work closely within a Scrum team with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure high quality, test and validate microservices within payment flows, including APIs, Kafka, and databases.
• Analyse requirements from a testing perspective.
• Plan, design, and execute test cases.
• Build and maintain automated test suites using Python and Robot Framework.
• Provide test results and contribute to quality reporting.
• Participate in testing team activities and contribute to organizational quality initiatives.

Global Payment Capture initiative is part of an Embedded Banking service domain. The project focuses on building a robust payment order orchestration platform that abstracts payment complexity, supports multiple channels, and enables scalability.
