Job summary

Hyperfusion is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical systems for data centers and related infrastructure. You will prepare schematics, cable routing, and BOMs, and select equipment such as switchgear, UPS, and distribution components.

You will perform load, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations while collaborating with automation, cooling, and manufacturing teams. Ideal candidates will have a technical electrical engineering education, experience with low-voltage

Qualifications

• Technical education in electrical engineering, power engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to read technical documentation in English.
• Experience designing low-voltage electrical installations.

• Provide technical support during project execution, equipment installation, and commissioning.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of the company’s standard design solutions.

Your responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for data centers, power modules, and technical infrastructure.
• Prepare design and detailed engineering documentation, including electrical schematics, cable routing layouts, and bills of materials.
• Select electrical equipment and components, including switchgear, protective devices, cables, UPS systems, and power distribution components.
• Perform engineering calculations, including load assessments, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and protective device sizing and settings.
• Collaborate with other designers and teams responsible for automation, cooling, and manufacturing.
• Provide technical support during project execution, equipment installation, and commissioning.
• Work with suppliers to select and verify technical solutions.

Our requirements:

• Technical education in electrical engineering, power engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in designing low-voltage electrical installations.
• Ability to prepare electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of the principles of selecting cables, protective devices, and electrical equipment.
• Proficiency in at least one design software package, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or EPLAN.
• Ability to read technical documentation in English.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Willingness to develop your knowledge and gain experience in designing data center infrastructure.

Nice to have:

• Experience in designing electrical installations for industrial facilities, technical facilities, or data centers.
• Knowledge of uninterruptible and backup power systems, including UPS systems, generators, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Experience in designing electrical switchgear and power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with Revit or EPLAN.
• Understanding of power supply redundancy and reliability.
• Experience working with manufacturing teams or participating in equipment commissioning or testing.
