Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our substation design team in Kraków. This hybrid role requires at least 20 hours per week and provides hands-on experience with primary and secondary circuits of HV substations.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, help prepare drawings and documentation, and develop skills in AutoCAD, Zuken E3, and EPLAN P8 while improving English and Polish language proficiency.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Intern to join our substation design team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in electrical engineering, specifically in the area ofelectrical engineeringof primary/secondary circuits of HV substations. This role requires availability at least 20h per week and you must be able to work in hybrid mode from our office in Kraków.

Your background

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering

• Basic knowledge of electricalengineering –with special attention to P&C, SCADA and Communication areas or primary substation equipment

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in using engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD,Zuken E3,EplanP8).

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, knowledge of Polish and English (at least B2 level, technical vocabulary)

• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment, positive “can‑do” attitude
