Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Samba is seeking a detail‑oriented candidate in Warsaw to join our growing team. You will review system flags, decide if content is an ad, and apply metadata following country-specific rules. German is the first language we’re hiring for, with English fluency also required; you’ll work on Sundays and a steady 32–40 hour week.
You'll join a team of remote contractors across Europe and contribute to accurate tagging and categorization for our TV advertising data assets. Training is provided.
Samba is a media intelligence company. We know what the world is watching, reading, and thinking about - in real time, at scale, across every screen. Our data exists with the consent of over a billion people, organized into the most complete picture of consumer attention ever built. The biggest brands in the world use that picture to make smarter decisions. We think its the most interesting data asset on the planet, because its the most culturally relevant.
Nine countries. Fifteen people on the team. Not nearly enough of them free on Sundays. That's the gap you'd fill.
Our system records linear TV channels and pulls out everything that might be an ad. Only a fraction of it actually is. The team, mostly contractors across Poland and Italy plus a few colleagues in the US, decides which clips are ads and which aren't, then tags the ones that are. We're adding another market in January, volume keeps growing, and right now the team is stretched thin. Sundays most of all.
Look at what the system flags, decide whether it's an ad, and apply the metadata, following the rulebook for that country. There are a lot of rules, and every market has its own. You'd start with a structured training block with Riccardo, then work the queue alongside the team. German is the language we're thinnest on, so that's the one we're hiring for first.
Its repetitive, especially in the first weeks.
Skills we teach, attitude we don't. Every hire is scored on the same five things: determined yet resilient, naturally curious, low-ego, self-aware, results oriented. For this role that means: you keep your quality up when the work is repetitive, you ask when a rule doesn't fit, you're good with a team that's stretched, you know honestly whether this work suits you, and your tagging is right.
Riccardo is watching for one thing above all: that you understand what the job is from the start, and that you're reliable.
We're Series C, ~$100M raised, pre-IPO, growing 30% YoY, 18 years in. For this team, that growth means more markets and more volume. Another country comes online in January, and we want you trained before it does.
